Report: Magic's Meeks on track for November return

Orlando Magic shooting guard Jodie Meeks should be available for a return to action "at some point in November," a source told the Orlando Sentinel's Josh Robbins.

Meeks underwent surgery on his right foot in July, with the diagnosis being an indefinite absence from basketball activity. While the latest development is good news, Meeks will still not be a full participant when training camp starts Sept. 27.

Meeks underwent the operation on his fifth metatarsal only weeks after being acquired from the Detroit Pistons. It was hoped the acquisition would add depth to the Magic's backcourt after the trade of Victor Oladipo. In his last season as a regular contributor with the Pistons in 2014-15, Meeks averaged 11.1 points on 41.6 percent shooting.
