The Alex Hornibrook era at Wisconsin is set to begin this week against Michigan State, according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Hornibrook replaced Bart Houston last week in the Badgers' 23-17 win over Georgia State, completing 8-of-12 for 122 yards and one touchdown. Now, he will reportedly get the start this week versus against the Spartans.

The senior Houston struggled early against the Panthers, throwing for just 91 yards and only providing Badgers, who were 35-point favorites, a 6-3 lead at the half. The freshman Hornibrook came off the bench in the third, and led Wisconsin to scores on three of its first four possessions.

The 6-foot-4 signal-caller was a three-star recruit coming out of high school as well as the 26th-ranked recruit in his home state of Pennsylvania.

Hornibrook will have a difficult test in his first-career start with Wisconsin, as the Badgers have dropped their last four at Michigan State.
