Cal survives bizarre fumble in final moments to top No. 11 Texas

Late Pac-12 kickoffs are known for some wild moments, but the ending of Cal's 50-43 win over No. 11 Texas on Saturday night was on a whole different level.

With Cal needing a first down to run out the clock in the game's final moments, Vic Enwere scampered through the line and exploded for a 56-yard touchdown to seal the win.

Or so we thought.

As he was entering the end zone, Enwere released the ball to begin celebrating, and replay review showed he never broke the plane. Fortunately for the Golden Bears, the officials ruled there was no clear recovery by either team, so Cal retained possession at the 1-yard line. This decision was made despite fairly obvious evidence that a Texas defender did, in fact, recover the fumble in the end zone.

Quarterback Davis Webb would kneel the ball a couple times to run out the clock and secure Cal's second straight season with a win over the Longhorns.
