Braves set franchise record with 16th different starter

The Atlanta Braves own the majors' most varied rotation.

In sending Josh Collmenter to the mound Saturday against the Washington Nationals, Atlanta penciled in its 16th different starter this season.

Along with deploying the most unique starting pitchers around the big leagues, the Braves also set a new franchise record by breaking the previous mark of 15 set in 1975.

Though Collmenter's name will always be attached to the record, the 30-year-old right-hander didn't get off to a hot start, allowing a leadoff home run to Nationals center fielder Trea Turner.
