Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson sprained his knee during Sunday's 37-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed postgame.

Although it wasn't confirmed by the team, Wilson is believed to have suffered a sprained MCL, The MMQB's Albert Breer reports.

Carroll said Wilson intends to play Week 4 against the New York Jets and added that the quarterback will undergo an MRI.

"He sprained his knee a little bit. He'll do an incredible job of rehabbing," Carroll said.

Wilson finished 15-of-23 for 243 yards and a touchdown prior to leaving the game, adding 3 rushing yards on his lone carry.

"I don't think it's severe as it looked. I have good mobility. You always feel better when you win," Wilson told reporters.

Trevone Boykin took over for Wilson, completing 7-of-9 passes for 65 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

Wilson previously suffered an ankle injury in the team's season opener when Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh landed on him while bringing him down for a sack.
