Canada's Giroux, Muzzin to serve as scratches vs. Russia

Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports / USA TODAY Sports

Claude Giroux and Jake Muzzin will take a seat when Canada concludes its exhibition schedule against Russia on Wednesday, according to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.

For Giroux, he'll make room for captain Sidney Crosby who returns to the lineup after sitting out during Canada's 5-2 win over the United States on Saturday.

As for Muzzin, he will sit for the second straight game after Jay Bouwmeester replaced him Saturday while contributing the game-winning goal.

Meanwhile between the pipes, Carey Price will make his second start since losing 4-2 to the Americans. Chicago Blackhawks netminder Corey Crawford will serve as his backup after turning away all 10 shots he faced in Saturday's win.
