Tortorella: Quick has 'inside track' on USA's starting job

USA head coach John Tortorella appears to have a starting goalie pegged for the World Cup of Hockey.

Following practice Tuesday, Tortorella told reporters that Jonathan Quick has the inside track on the gig.

This came after the Los Angeles Kings netminder left the ice first, meaning he's likely in line to start the final pre-tournament game against Finland.

Quick, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, appeared in five games for USA at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, posting a save percentage of .923 on the way to a fourth-place finish for his team.

If this holds, Quick will have beaten out Ben Bishop and Cory Schneider for the starting job.
