Nowitzki reminds online troll he'll be retiring in 'a few years'

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Dirk Nowitzki experience in the Lone Star State has at least two more years of legs underneath it before the 13-time NBA All-Star hangs up his kicks for good.

One basketball fan wishes that day would come a lot sooner, though.

The 38-year-old Germanator filled in his Twitter troll with his plans for the future, reaffirming that his latest contract will, in all likelihood, be his last with the Dallas Mavericks.

Nowitzki signed a two-year, $50-million deal with the franchise over the summer, with the second year of the contract being a team option for $25 million. Only $5 million would be guaranteed should he elect to retire at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

He's worn Mavericks colors for 18 seasons, and currently ranks as the team's all-time leader in a number of statistical categories, including games played (1,340), minutes (47,249), points (29,491), and rebounds (10,540).
