Things haven't gotten off to a good start for Team USA's Max Pacioretty.

The Montreal Canadiens forward has been quiet in his first two exhibition games, which has his head coach pleading for more.

"He's gotta give me some reason to get him more minutes," John Tortorella said Saturday, according to Sportsnet's Eric Engels.

Pacioretty had been slotted into a spot on the team's top line alongside Joe Pavelski and Patrick Kane entering Friday's game, but so far has done little to impress his coach through two games.

The 27-year-old will have a couple days to gather himself before the next tuneup game Tuesday against Finland, where he'll again look to impress.
