4-star C Nate Watson picks Providence

Providence made a splash on the recruiting trail Saturday night, landing a commitment from Nate Watson.

The four-star center told ESPN's Jeff Borzello he will be joining the Friars and it's a solid get for head coach Ed Cooley, as Watson passed on offers from Kansas, North Carolina, Maryland, as well as several other Power 5 programs.

Watson is the second-ranked player from the state of Virginia and at 6-foot-8 and 250 pounds, he'll give Providence some valuable size in the paint.
