The San Diego Chargers will host their 28th Annual Salute to the Military - which pays tribute to hundreds of thousands of current and retired military personnel - Thursday when the San Francisco 49ers visit in their final preseason game.

All eyes will be on 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as he continues his boycott of the American national anthem, which will be performed by Petty Officer 1st Class Steven Powell of the U.S. Navy.

There will be a pregame ceremony featuring the Marine Band San Diego and Frog X parachute team made up of retired Navy SEALs.

The Chargers will also hold short ceremonies at halftime and at the beginning of the third quarter. Several Chargers players have connections to the military.
