The Washington Redskins released linebacker Perry Riley Jr. and defensive end Stephen Paea, a source told Mike Jones of The Washington Post.

Riley recorded 43 tackles, two interceptions, and three pass deflections in nine games last season. The 28-year-old had spent his entire career with the Redskins after being drafted in the fourth round in 2010.

Paea racked up 19 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in 14 games last year. The edge rusher signed a four-year deal with the Redskins in March 2015, playing his first four years with the Chicago Bears.
