Borussia Dortmund hasn't succumbed to Liverpool's reported €13-million (£11.1-million) bid for American wunderkind Christian Pulisic, but may consider the possibility of loaning the teenager, according to ESPN FC's Glenn Price.

The 17-year-old winger impressed last season since making his competitive debut in January, winning recognition at the international level. First-team opportunities could be limited this season, however, with the likes of Marco Reus, Andre Schurrle, Ousmane Dembele, and Emre Mor all vying for minutes.

Liverpool maintains an interest in Pulisic, but has accepted that Dortmund isn't keen on selling before the transfer window swings shut on Aug. 31. Renewed efforts in future windows remains a distinct possibility, though.

Dortmund shouldn't be short of potential suitors if it opts to continue Pulisic's development elsewhere on a loan spell. The Pennsylvania native has improved at a rate that has surprised the North Rhine-Westphalia outfit.

His rise has also given American supporters hope of one day possessing a player that is regarded among the world's elite.

Dortmund started the Bundesliga campaign with a 2-1 win over FSV Mainz 05, and returns following the international break to take on RB Leipzig.
