Chicago Bears cornerback Tracy Porter won't return to Saturday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs after being diagnosed with a concussion, the club announced.
Porter will now be subject to the league concussion protocol, and won't be allowed to practice until cleared. He appeared to take a knock to the head late in the first half, and was attended to by trainers on the field before being taken to the locker room.
The 30-year-old was the senior player in the Bears' already weak secondary, which will be tested further if Porter misses any regular-season time.
The Bears open the season against the Houston Texans on Sept. 11.
