Cardiff accepts Hull bid for 'keeper Marshall

Cardiff City accepted an offer from Hull City for David Marshall on Saturday, as the latter outfit scrambles to address a squad depleted by injuries and in desperate need of recruitment.

BBC Sport understands the fee is worth £5 million, and Cardiff handler Lee Trollope described the deal as "imminent" ahead of his side's Saturday clash with Reading.
The move would mark the exit of a popular figure in the Welsh capital. Marshall joined Cardiff from Norwich City, and has appeared more than 280 times for the club. Thirty-seven of those outings came in the Bluebirds' sole Premier League term in 2013-14.
Hull has upset the odds by beginning its top-flight return with two consecutive wins, but looks vastly unprepared for the marathon of a full campaign. Negotiations over the club ownership are ongoing - negatively affecting transfer business - and Mike Phelan, managing on an interim basis since Steve Bruce's resignation, has no idea whether he'll be in charge in a few matches' time.
On Humberside, Marshall would vie with Swiss shot-stopper Eldin Jakupovic for first-team minutes.
