Patriots hold Gronkowski out of 3rd preseason game

The New England Patriots are playing it safe with their star tight end.
Rob Gronkowski will not play in his team's third preseason matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Friday after missing over a week with an undisclosed injury, according to multiple reports.
Gronkowski left a joint practice with the Chicago Bears on Aug. 15 and returned to the Patriots' training field on Wednesday.
