The New York Mets are growing increasingly concerned that Jacob deGrom is getting fatigued.

Manger Terry Collins said there's a good chance deGrom will get extra rest before his next start, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin.

"To me it looks like he's getting run down," Collins said.

Over his last two starts, deGrom has given up a combined 13 runs on 35 hits in just 9 2/3 innings of work. The biggest concern is that the right-hander is only at 143 innings pitched this season, nowhere near his 2015 regular-season total of 191.

Despite getting roughed up, he still owns a 2.96 ERA this season, while striking out 137 batters.

Collins said he'd have to speak with general manager Sandy Alderson before proceeding any further.
