Texas proved Thursday that - regardless of team or university affiliation - the fraternity of football looks out for one another.

After the sudden and tragic death of Arizona offensive lineman Zach Hemmila earlier this month, Charlie Strong's Longhorns sent handwritten notes to the Wildcats following the loss of their teammate.

Arizona wide receiver Nate Phillips followed up the gesture by posting a thank-you note to Texas along with a picture to Instagram.

"After the passing of our teammate Zach Hemmila, the University of Texas football program had their players and coaches sign these for us sending their prayers. We appreciate the first class gesture and we thank you. We are wishing you well in this up coming season," Phillips wrote.
