Watch: Miz unloads on Daniel Bryan during 'Talking Smack'

WWE/Youtube

Intercontinental Champion Mike "The Miz" Mizanin did not take kindly to his general manager calling him a "coward" in the ring during Tuesday's edition of "Talking Smack."

Daniel Bryan, who retired from wrestling earlier this year due to career-ending head injuries, said The Miz acts like he's afraid to get hit, and categorized his style between the ropes as "soft."

The Miz took great exception and said the former World Heavyweight Champion should look in the mirror before calling him a coward. Bryan told his fans that he'd be back competing one day, but hasn't returned.

Bryan made it clear, as he's done numerous times before, that he'd be wrestling if WWE doctors cleared him to do so. The Miz then encouraged him to quit and "go to the bingo halls" with his indie friends if he wanted to wrestle so badly.

Bryan walked off the set in response. Miz finished his rant by saying he's the only relevant champion on the "SmackDown Live" brand, and he's fed up with constantly being criticized.

Bryan worked under The Miz as his "rookie" during the first season of NXT. It was an unusual pairing because he was far more experienced than his mentor, which led the two to butt heads several times during the program.

His first title win with the company came at Night of Champions in 2011 when he made Miz tap out to become United States Champion.
