Chelsea's Loic Remy is the latest striker to interest West Ham United, with the two clubs apparently in talks over a possible loan move or permanent deal.

Sky Sports News reports Crystal Palace is also tracking Remy, who has found first-team minutes hard to come by since switching from Queens Park Rangers to Stamford Bridge in 2014. Despite the summer exits of Alexandre Pato and Radamel Falcao, the return to form of Diego Costa and arrival of Michy Batshuayi has kept the 29-year-old firmly down the pecking order in Chelsea.

At West Ham, Remy should find a much easier path into the starting XI. New signing Andre Ayew could miss up to four months after suffering an injury in his Chelsea debut, and was soon joined by Andy Carroll after the ungainly frontman suffered a knee issue. Earlier efforts to bring fellow strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Carlos Bacca to the London Stadium fell on the wayside.

Crystal Palace, meanwhile, has already strengthened with a club-record £27-million swoop for Christian Benteke, but backup options are relatively thin with Connor Wickham and Fraizer Campbell waiting in reserve.

While Thursday's Europa League play-off against Astra Giurgiu would likely come too soon for Remy, if discussions are successful he could be included in West Ham's trip to Manchester City on Sunday.
