Browns' Gordon on trade speculation: 'Cleveland is my team'

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon made it clear that he wanted to remain with his current organization after trade rumors surfaced Tuesday.

The wide receiver was banned for the entire 2015 season for a violation of the league's substance abuse policy, but has since been conditionally reinstated and will be suspended for the first four games of the year.

The Browns are reportedly uninterested in trading Gordon, and he refuted the notion Tuesday.

"I haven't heard too much about it," Gordon said to ESPN's Tony Grossi. "Cleveland is my team. That's where I want to be, everything like that. That's not even in the ballpark for me. I’m not sure how that works."

Gordon also spoke about the support he's received from Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and new head coach Hue Jackson.

"I think it works out perfectly then for me," Gordon said. “Mr. (Jimmy) Haslam, the organization, Coach (Hue) Jackson, I think the world of those guys, this city, this organization. They're family. They’re showing me the love and respect back to me by allowing me to stay here up to this point.

"I expect to move forward with that. I'm excited about it. This is where I want to be, and I’m happy to be with Cleveland."

If Gordon exhibits the All-Pro form he displayed in 2013, the Browns' patience will likely pay dividends.
