Ravens' Perriman says he lost weight due to clipping dreadlocks

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman said he lost four pounds after cutting his dreadlocks.

Perriman decided to cut his signature locks in July, causing a frenzy. The 2015 first-round pick didn't realize the unintended benefits in the process.

"I feel much lighter," Perriman said to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "Once I cut it, I weighed myself, and I lost three or four pounds. It was crazy."

Whether the new haircut will have an impact remains to be seen as Perriman is battling through an ACL injury and was only recently activated from the physically unable to perform list.
