Giants expect Cruz to make preseason debut Saturday vs. Jets

The New York Giants are aiming for wide receiver Victor Cruz to make his preseason debut Saturday against the New York Jets, head coach Ben McAdoo said Tuesday.

Cruz didn't play in the Giants' preseason opener after suffering a setback in his recovery from a groin injury. He spent most of last week working by himself in practice before making his return Sunday.

McAdoo said Cruz will fully participate in Tuesday's session without any limitations.

The 30-year-old took part in pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's second preseason contest against the Buffalo Bills, but didn't play in the game.

Cruz hasn't appeared in a game since tearing the patellar tendon in his right knee in October 2014.
