Parsons doesn't rule out returning to Rockets one day

Chandler Parsons must live by the motto "never say never," because before even suiting up for a single game with the Memphis Grizzlies, the fifth-year pro is already subtly hinting that he may not be prepared to stick with his new team for the long haul.

In a Q&A session he hosted on his official Twitter account Monday, Parsons wouldn't count out one day returning to the Houston Rockets, where he played the first three seasons of his career.

Parsons signed a four-year, $94-million contract with the Grizzlies last month after declining a $15-million player option to remain with the Dallas Mavericks. He did so believing that he was a max player, taking his services elsewhere to land the money he felt he deserved.

Perhaps he was being a tad too honest in his response, though, as some athletes would prefer to give a more diplomatic answer in a situation like this. There's really no way of knowing what will become of Parsons once his deal with the Grizzlies runs out, as he'll be 31 years old with several years of basketball hopefully still left in his tank.

His best years as a pro did come in a Rockets uniform, averaging career highs in points (16.6), rebounds (5.5), assists (four), and minutes (37.6) during the 2013-14 campaign.
