Gwen Jorgensen became the first American to win a gold medal in triathlon and the impact of the moment wasn't lost on her as she was overwhelmed by emotion while crossing the finish line.

Mo Farrah is a star. The long-distance runner became the first British track athlete to win four gold medals as he defended his 5000m title to go along with back-to-back 10000m golds.

Serbia won its first medal in women's basketball with a victory over France in the bronze-medal game. As a result, the team attempted to dunk head coach Marina Maljkovic in celebration (or just carried her very close to the hoop).

Ruth Beitia was pretty happy to win gold in the long jump (understatement of the century). In her fourth Olympic games, the 37-year-old Spaniard won her first medal.

Neymar unleashed his inner Usain Bolt after scoring the opening goal in the men's gold-medal soccer match. The Brazilian superstar would go on to score the game-winner in penalty kicks, giving the host country its first-ever Olympic soccer title.
