Alex Rodriguez's 12-year tenure with the New York Yankees came to an end last Friday as the 41-year-old played his final game in pinstripes.

Rodriguez offered a glimpse into his end as a member of the Yankees, taking cameras along for the ride on an emotional Aug. 12 afternoon in the Bronx.

"It's been a good run," Rodriguez told FOX Sports. "Despite all the great mistakes that I made - and that's a big part of my career here in New York - I came back. I got up from the canvas. I owned my mistakes and worked hard at mending a lot of relationships."

Rodriguez is shown driving his Chevy Suburban with Florida plates through New York on his way to Yankee Stadium, interacting with fans - some of whom are crying due to his pending release. He talks about the surreal feeling of it being the last time he'll ever wear the jersey, and tells opposing starter Chris Archer to "take it easy on the old man."

"I love being a Yankee," Rodriguez said. "It's been without a doubt the highlight of my career."
