Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald suffered a MCL sprain, head coach Bruce Arians confirmed. Fitzgerald did not suit up during Friday's 19-3 loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Arians downplayed the injury, describing it as a "slight strain" and urged that it was nothing serious.

Fitzgerald recorded 109 catches for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns last season, fueling the league's second-highest scoring offense. The 13th-year pro hasn't made his preseason debut thus far, but is expected to feature heavily in the passing game.

Cardinals linebacker Alex Okafor is battling through a torn biceps tendon, Arians confirmed. Okafor started 13 games last season, recording 31 tackles and two sacks.
