Wrestler Helen Maroulis made history in 53kg freestyle Thursday, defeating three-time champion Saori Yoshida of Japan to become the first American woman ever to win a wrestling gold medal. The impact of the moment hit Maroulis when she heard "The Star-Spangled Banner" from atop the podium.

Ashton Eaton became just the third man to repeat as gold medalist in the decathlon. The American got to enjoy the moment with his wife, Canadian Brianne Theisen-Eaton, who won a bronze medal in the heptathlon earlier in Rio.

Usain Bolt had likely his final individual Olympic race Thursday, winning an unprecedented third straight gold in the men's 200m. The electrifying Jamaican got down to his knees and kissed the track in celebration.

Jordan's Ahmad Abughaush celebrated winning his semifinal 68kg taekwondo match by getting mugged by his coach. The win guaranteed Jordan its first medal in Olympic history, and Abughaush went on to win gold.

While a pair of Olympians getting ready to board a plane and leave Rio may not appear at first glance to be all that memorable, it certainly will be for Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger. The American swimmers were pulled off their plane Wednesday and had to give statements to the police regarding Sunday's gas station incident before they were allowed to leave Thursday night.
