The Denver Nuggets have agreed to a three-year, partially guaranteed deal with free-agent swingman D.J. Kennedy, sources told the The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Kennedy spent last season with Russian ball club Yenisey Krasnoyarsk, averaging 15.3 points, seven rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 23 contests.

The 26-year-old also recently led Overseas Elite to their second straight championship in The Basketball Tournament, helping his team take home a cool $2 million in prize money.

Kennedy has played just two NBA games in his career, averaging six points and 3.5 rebounds for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011-12. Kennedy has since spent time with the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Houston Rockets in summer league, but has ultimately failed to crack an NBA roster.
