Altuve the 2nd player 5-6 or shorter to hit 20 homers

Jose Altuve may be the shortest player in the majors, but that hasn't stopped him from mashing baseballs.

The 26-year-old American League MVP candidate hit his 20th home run of the season Friday in a 15-8 win over the Baltimore Orioles, joining Hall of Famer Hack Wilson as only the second player 5-foot-6 or shorter to accomplish the feat.

It was also Altuve's longest home run of his career, coming in at an estimated 448 feet, according to ESPN Stats, and made him the first Astros player to hit 20 home runs and have more than 20 stolen bases in a season since Carlos Beltran in 2004.

Altuve has already surpassed his career high in home runs and RBIs, and entered Friday leading the AL in average (.363), OBP (.427), and wRC+ with 166 runs scored.
