The Champions Basketball League is a new, fan-centric basketball league featuring a lot of familiar names.

On Tuesday, the league unveiled the Gotham Ballers' roster, which boasts retired NBA players including Shawn Marion, Kenyon Martin, Al Harrington, Renaldo Balkman, Eddy Curry, Jamaal Tinsley, Josh Childress, and Daniel Gibson.

The New York-based club's front office is headed by Hall of Famer Walt Frazier, along with general manager Earl Monroe. John Wallace rounds out the retired New York Knicks trio as head coach.

The summer league features 16 teams based in NBA cities - including Los Angeles, Boston, and Miami - with the inaugural season set for 2017. The campaign will begin in July and end with a competition in September modeled after the NCAA Tournament.

Former player and coach Mark Aguirre is the league's president and in charge of recruiting and game logistics, with a focus on making Champions hoops "competitive and fun for the fans."
