The San Antonio Spurs continue to load up on big men this summer in what is now a Tim Duncan-less NBA.

Unrestricted free-agent forward David Lee has signed a two-year contract with the franchise for $3.2 million, his agent told ESPN's Marc Stein.

The second year of his deal will reportedly be a player option.

His agent, Mark Bartelstein, told The San Antonio Express-News' Tom Orsborn that there were better offers on the table elsewhere, but Lee signing with the Spurs was "an opportunity he couldn't pass up."

Lee, 33, split the 2015-16 campaign playing for both the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks after winning a championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2015. Boston acquired him last summer before waiving him prior to the trade deadline in February.

He then went on to sign for the remainder of the year with the Mavericks for the room exception of $2.1 million once he cleared waivers, averaging 8.5 points and seven rebounds on 63.6 percent shooting in 25 appearances.

San Antonio has also signed Pau Gasol (two years, $30 million) and Dewayne Dedmon (two years, $6 million) to man the frontcourt this offseason.
