Warren Sapp probably won't go lobster fishing again any time soon.

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle was bitten by a shark in the Florida Keys while "lobstering," the captain of Sapp's charter, Jack Carlson, told Greg Aumon of the Tampa Bay Times.

"It's simple," Carlson wrote via text message. "He was lobstering with me and a shark bit Sapp while he was grabbing the lobster. He's OK."

Carlson's charter, Two Conchs, posted a gruesome photo of Sapp's bite Wednesday on Instagram:

After the bite, Sapp continued his fishing voyage.

"We bandaged it up, put some gauze on there, some black electrical tape, and hit a couple more spots, then headed in," Carlson said.
