Longtime defensive tackle Kevin Williams signed a one-day contract Wednesday to retire as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

A first-round pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, Williams spent the first 11 years of his NFL career in a Vikings uniform. He started 171 of a possible 176 regular-season games over that stretch, where his consistently dominant play earned him six Pro Bowl nods.

Williams' 60 sacks with the Vikings puts him fourth in franchise history behind only John Randle, Chris Doleman, and Jared Allen.

Williams moved on to join the Seattle Seahawks for the 2014 campaign and the New Orleans Saints last season before officially calling it a career after 13 years.
