Farrell: Our biggest deadline additions will come from DL
Having already watched president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski broker deals for Drew Pomeranz and Brad Ziegler, Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell doesn't expect any more big moves ahead of next week's non-wavier trade deadline.
He is, however, looking forward to getting back those players currently nursing injuries on the disabled list.
"Our biggest additions are going to come from the DL," Farrell told MLB Network Radio on Tuesday. "We've got a very good team."

Though one rival executive thinks the Red Sox are still looking for "something big," Farrell's remarks echo comments made earlier this week by Dombrowski, who told reporters he continues to receive calls from rival clubs but feels no pressure to get a deal done.
"I'm not looking to necessarily make something significant because we already added," Dombrowski said. "We have five solid starters. Could they be better? Sure. If we had five All-Star starters, we're better. But we have five guys we like. Our offense is the best in baseball as far as run production is concerned. Now, can we be better? Sure."
But, as Farrell said, the Red Sox - 2 1/2 games back of the Baltimore Orioles for first place in the American League East - will receive a major boost, particularly in the bullpen, when/if their ailing players can get healthy.
Not including Carson Smith and Pablo Sandoval, both of whom underwent season-ending surgery early in the campaign, the Red Sox have five players on the disabled list expected to return relatively soon that could be major factors down the stretch.
