For the first time since 1987, NFL Sunday mornings on ESPN will not feature Tom Jackson.

Multiple sources have told Pro Football Talk that Jackson has decided to leave the show ahead of, what would have been, his 30th season.

Jackson, a former Denver Broncos linebacker, was not fired by ESPN, but rather decided to leave on his own terms.

One source said that the decision to re-sign fellow analyst Trent Dilfer was made in part due to Jackson's decision to leave, but it's unknown who, if anyone, will be replacing him on the panel.

Chris Berman, who is reportedly entering the final year of his deal, will be the "Sunday NFL Countdown" show's only returning panel member next season. Former players Randy Moss, Matt Hasselbeck, and Charles Woodson will replace the trio of Keyshawn Johnson, Mike Ditka, and Cris Carter.
