The Jacksonville Jaguars' recent meeting with Greg Hardy was purely a fact-finding mission.

Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell told reporters Monday that the team has no current plans to sign the defensive end, and that they only sought to learn more about the polarizing athlete.

Caldwell clarified that the team is willing to take calculated risks but "won't do anything to jeopardize what they've built."

Hardy spent last season with the Dallas Cowboys, a year after he was exiled from the league as his domestic violence case went to trial. The case was later dismissed.

The soon-to-be 28-year-old recorded 35 total tackles, six sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble in 12 games with the Cowboys.
