The Los Angeles Dodgers are desperate for starting pitching and the front office could dangle one of it's greatest trade chips in pursuit of one of the league's premier left-handers.

Should the Chicago White Sox entertain offers for their ace Chris Sale, the Dodgers reportedly would be open to including top pitching prospect Julio Urias in a potential return, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.

Urias is heralded as one of the top pitching prospects in the majors. The 19-year-old owns a 1.07 ERA and 0.79 WHIP in 42 innings with Triple-A Oklahoma City, and has gone 1-2 with a 4.91 ERA in nine starts with the Dodgers this season.

Sale is currently serving a five-day suspension following an altercation with the front-office over wearing throwback jerseys. White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said that he has no intentions of dealing the AL Cy Young winner but the White Sox enter Monday under .500 and could look to rebuild.

The Dodgers, who come into Monday three games back of the NL West-leading San Francisco Giants, currently have Brett Anderson, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Alex Wood on the disabled list, while there's concern that Clayton Kershaw could require season-ending surgery for a back injury.
