It appears Tom Izzo will be getting his wish to visit The Palestra on Jan. 7, 2017.

According to reports from Brendan F. Quinn of Mlive.com, Michigan State will square off against Penn State on the home court of the University of Pennsylvania, and the court that has hosted more games than any other in the United States.

The Michigan State figure head expressed interest in visiting The Palestra during Big Ten media day in 2014, noting that the legendary arena is the only one he has yet to experience for himself.

"They all tell me I've got to get to the Palestra," Izzo said, accoring to Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press. "One of these years, I'm gonna be dumb enough to do it."

Penn State looks to boost the credibility of the state as a desirable area for recruiting by making use of the arena commonly known as "The Cathedral of College Basketball."

The Spartans and the Nittany Lions will only meet once during the 2016-17 season. Both Michigan State and Penn State have yet to confirm the game.
