Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Arthur Jones has been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances, the league announced Friday.

Jones will be eligible to return to the Colts' roster on Oct. 3.

The 30-year-old's suspension comes just two weeks after his brother, MMA fighter Jon Jones, was pulled from UFC 200 for a potential doping violation.

Jones has been unable to stay healthy during his two-year stint with the Colts. He appeared in just nine games in 2014 due to myriad injuries, and missed the entire 2015 campaign after sustaining an ankle injury in preseason.

He was expected to play a big role in 2016, however, with the Colts hoping he and a returning Henry Anderson would boost the club's defensive front.
