Despite receiving a ton of interest in Jurickson Profar, Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels doesn't appear to have any inclination for dealing the utility infielder.

The Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays have been in talks in recent weeks, though Daniels has reportedly balked at requests to include Profar in a potential return for pitching help, according to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports.

Rays left-hander Matt Moore is one of the starters the Rangers are coveting in order to help alleviate the stress on a pitching staff that currently has Colby Lewis and Derek Holland on the disabled list.

Profar had bounced around the diamond this season, seeing time at all four infield positions, but will now be leaned on more heavily following Prince Fielder's injury.

In 43 games this season, the 23-year-old is hitting .298/.349/.426 with four home runs and two triples. He's under contract through the 2019 season.
