Andrew Cashner could be on the move very, very soon.

Rival executives believe San Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller is attempting to deal the club's right-hander before his next scheduled start on Thursday, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.

Sources told Morosi the Miami Marlins and Baltimore Orioles are among the teams showing interest.

In 14 starts this season, Cashner has posted a 5.05 ERA and 1.478 WHIP, but could provide depth for teams looking to shore up the back end of their rotation.

The 29-year-old owns a career 3.74 ERA in 662 innings pitched.
