Ahead of a return to Scotland's top flight, Glasgow giant Rangers have secured the services of versatile attacker Joe Dodoo on a four-year deal from Leicester City.

Dodoo, 21, who has been impressing in training this week with the Gers, is able to ply his trade both on the wing and as a traditional striker, and was formally unveiled by the club Tuesday.

The Ghanaian-born once-capped England Under-18 player vaulted onto the scene last year in the League Cup for the Foxes, scoring a hat trick on his debut against Bury followed by a goal against West Ham in the next fixture.

Leicester gaffer Claudio Ranieri spoke highly of Dodoo following that display, saying, "He was fantastic. He’s very smart and he was ready to shoot at goal. Joe is good because he can smell the goal."

"When he shoots at goal he is very dangerous, and he had another chance to score. Very good."

With only one league appearance for Leicester, Dodoo appears elated for the opportunity to play first team football at Ibrox.

"I am very excited, there are great facilities, the lads are great, the manager is great, the staff are great so I just can’t wait to get started.

"I am laid back but you have to work hard and I have that work ethic so for me because of that I am really relaxed and just concentrate on my football and do what I have to do."
