Santos' teenage sensation Gabriel Barbosa dropped a hint that he could be leaving his homeland soon, saying "soon you will know something."

The forward took his tally to five goals in 10 Brazilian Serie A appearances on Saturday as his side beat Ponte Preta 3-1, but has reignited talk that he could join Chelsea and Juventus with his comments postmatch.

"I played as if it was my last game here," he told the news conference. "Soon you will know something."

The 19-year-old - known as Gabigol - then further heightened speculation with an Instagram post:

" Meu coração é alvinegro , e bate forte por você .. Santos você é minha vida , eu te amarei até morrer "

The message translates: "My heart is Alvinegro and it will always beat for you. Santos are my life. I will love you until death."

Santos recently announced it had tied down Gabigol to a contract until 2021, but the in-demand attacker said discussions had not yet neared a conclusion.

"No, there is still no agreement. The president ended up talking, but there is nothing confirmed," Gabigol told Globe Esporte via ESPN FC.

"We are just talking. My parents and my representatives are talking. They have some things to discuss. I have proposals, too, but there's nothing confirmed yet."

Barbosa has also been making strides at international level this year, winning four Brazil caps and tallying two strikes.
