Napoli's Marek Hamsik: Drawing interest after another productive season

Hamsik scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions last season. He added another goal and an assist as he helped Slovakia reach the knockout round of Euro 2016.

Analysis:

Hamsik took a back seat at times at club level for a Napoli side that were loaded with attacking talent, but he still wound up tied for third in Serie A in assists and managed to reach eight goals for the seventh straight season. Hamsik was the key man for Slovakia as they took on some of the largest sides in Europe this summer, and he proved his quality by helping his side escape the group stage. Hamsik has drawn interest from abroad this summer and could very well find himself wearing a new shirt when the new season begins.
