The French national team punched its ticket to Rio by winning its qualifying tournament in Manila on Sunday, and the team will only get stronger when the Olympics kick off in less than a month.

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert, who sat out the qualifier to rest an ankle injury, announced Monday that he'll join the team in Rio.

The 7-foot-1 Gobert, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract, averaged 9.1 points, 11 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks last season, but missed 21 games to injury after a busy summer of international play.

He's one of four Jazz players who'll be participating in Rio, joining countryman Boris Diaw, Joe Ingles (Australia), and Raul Neto (Brazil).
