Report: Jarrett Jack agrees to 1-year minimum deal with Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent guard Jarrett Jack worth the veteran's minimum salary, sources told Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Jack started in all 32 games he played last season as a member of the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 12.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. The Nets waived Jack on June 30.

The Hawks traded starting point guard Jeff Teague to the Indiana Pacers on July 7, and Jack's expected to compete for the vacancy in the starting lineup, although he'll likely serve as Dennis Schroder's backup.

This will be Jack's eighth team entering his 13th NBA season.
