Twitter reacts as Ronaldo exits Euro 2016 final on stretcher

Football can be cruel. So cruel.

Cristiano Ronaldo lasted all of 25 minutes in the final of Euro 2016, suffering an apparent knee injury when Dimitri Payet caught him while following through on a tackle. The Portuguese superstar tried to play through the pain with his knee heavily strapped, but after barely being able to run, he left the pitch on a stretcher after throwing his captain's armband to the floor in anger.

Sure enough, Twitter wasted no time reacting to Ronaldo's exit from European football's biggest fixture.
