The Atlanta Hawks officially announced the signing of swingman Kent Bazemore on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but earlier reports claimed Bazemore would make $70 million over four seasons.

Bazemore enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2015-16, averaging 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals on 44.1 percent shooting, filling in nicely for the departed DeMarre Carroll.

"We are excited to re-sign Kent and welcome him back to the Hawks," head coach Mike Budenholzer stated in a press release. "His passion for the game is contagious and through his tireless work ethic, he has developed into a dynamic two-way player. We look forward to his continued development with us."

Atlanta was as busy as any team during the opening days of free agency, inking Bazemore and Dwight Howard to deals, fielding trade offers for Paul Millsap, and attempting to re-sign Al Horford to a multi-year contract.
