Miles Killebrew may become a fan favorite without ever playing a down for the Detroit Lions.

Fort Street Brewery devised an IPA called Killebrew named after the rookie safety.

"I guess it was a play on my name," Killebrew said to ESPN's Michael Rothstein. "'Killebrew.' So they wanted to do that there. It was a cool experience."

Killebrew and teammate Antwione Williams visited the brewery June 9 for the Killebrew IPA's official release.

Known for his thunderous open-field hits, Killebrew could give Lions fans ample reasons to toast him with a great rookie year.
